Come to the Hub this Saturday evening for Kinston’s biggest and newest community celebration — Harvest Jamboree.
It’s the largest event in the three-day, Centerra-wide festival called Wild Wonderful Weekend, which celebrates Centerra becoming Colorado’s first-ever Community Wildlife Habitat certified by the National Wildlife Federation.
Jamboree Events & Activities
Hop on the hay ride
3 – 8 p.m. | Throughout Kinston
Hitch a ride to and from the Hub on the Jamboree’s complimentary hay wagon shuttle. Stops are located along Great Egret Ave., Wild Rye St., Painted Turtle Ave., and Silverheels Dr. See the map for a stop near you. Hay rides start one hour before the Jamboree and end one hour after.
Toe Tap to Live Country Music
4 – 7 p.m. | Hub Lawn
If you know how to two-step, three-step, cha-cha, waltz or swing, you’re gonna love the Walker Williams Band. If dancing’s not your thing, then kick back and listen to a great singer and entertainer. You’ll enjoy his antics and music, just the same.
Learn to Line Dance
5 p.m. & 6 p.m. | Dance Floor – Hub Lawn
Don’t know how to two-step, three-step, cha-cha, waltz or swing? Don’t worry. You can learn to at the Jamboree. A dance instructor will teach residents the moves at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. Plus, they’ll be there to lead dances all evening.
Enjoy VIP Privileges
4 – 7 p.m. | The Gathering Room
While Harvest Jamboree is open to the public, Kinston residents will enjoy a few VIP extras that evening. Special access to a VIP lounge in The Gathering Room to relax, play a game of pool, do crafts, enjoy lemonade and a popcorn bar, or watch the Rocky Mountain Showdown (CSU vs CU) live.
Pick up a BBQ Plate
4 – 7 p.m. | The Hub Cafe
The Hub Cafe will spoon up BBQ plates ($16 per plate). Choose from:
- Whiskey Pulled Beef
- Smoked Pulled Pork
- Five Cheese Mac & Cheese
- Cole Slaw
- Baked Beans
- Artisan Rolls & Breads
- House BBQ Sauce & Pickles
Beer and wine $6 each. BBQ plates available while supplies last.
Roast s'mores & win prizes
4 – 7 p.m. | Gathering Rm & Hub Lawn
Pick up a s’more kit in The Gathering Room and roast them by the Jamboree fire pits.
Test your skills. Try roping the hay bale cow or play a game of corn hole with neighbors.
Capture precious memories at the photo “booth.”
