Clear space. Find something unexpected. Join us for Kinston’s inaugural Second Chance Market! A neighborhood-wide opportunity to give new life to pre-loved items. Residents are invited to sell, swap, or simply pass along gently used pieces right from their own driveways or porches.

How It Works:
Set up your driveway or porch with items ready for a second home. Furniture, clothing, toys, books, home décor, and more.
Browse participating homes and discover thoughtful, secondhand finds.
Register your address to be included on the official event map.
Community Life will provide promotional signage at the main community entrances and promote the event online.
Residents may place directional signs from Friday morning through Sunday evening to help guide shoppers.

To make it even easier to clear things out responsibly, we’ll have two roll-off dumpsters available within the community for resident use all weekend long, along with an onsite shredder truck & electronic recycling drop-off at The Hub on Saturday, May 30 from 2pm-4pm. Whether you’re parting with large household items or safely disposing of old documents, we’re making it simple to refresh your space with intention.

The Second Chance Market is a simple way to refresh your space, reduce waste, and keep quality items in circulation all within the neighborhood.
